概要
This tool helps you remove audio from video in your browser, with no quality lost. You drop a video and you get back the same file with every audio track gone. The picture is the same, the subtitles are the same, the chapters are the same. The only thing that changes is the sound. This page exists for one job: remove audio from video, in your browser, with no quality lost.
On the default path, the work happens on your device. We run a tiny engine in your browser that opens the file, drops every audio track, and writes the muted file back out. Nothing is uploaded. The only network traffic is an anonymous analytics ping and the daily quota counter that limits free use. If you just want to silence a video before posting a clip somewhere, this is the path you want.
When your browser cannot do the work (older browsers, very large files, or an out-of-memory case partway through), you can opt into the server. The server uploads the file, runs the same kind of cleanup with our server-side tool, and deletes the file after 24 hours. We strip ALL metadata from your video on this path; we say so out loud because a server-path output has a different privacy profile than a browser-path output.
Subtitle tracks, chapters, and the main picture are kept on every path. Cover-art tracks (the second still-image video track some MP4 files carry) are dropped. Before you can download anything, the tool double-checks the output has zero audio tracks and one video track.

What changes
We remove every audio track, including extra language tracks on multi-track audio removal cases. The picture and the subtitles are unchanged.
Where it runs
In your browser by default. The server option only kicks in when your browser cannot do the work, or when you choose it.
No quality lost
The video itself is unchanged. We do not compress it again, so the picture stays exactly as you uploaded it. You can remove audio from video without losing quality, which makes the tool a lossless mute video option.
Limits
Up to 1 GB on desktop, 300 MB on mobile. Up to 30 minutes free; 30 minutes to 2 hours uses the paid server option.

10 successful runs per IP per day. The server option above 30 minutes uses 1 credit.
Retention
On the server option, the file is auto-deleted after 24 hours and the job record is anonymised after 30 days. On the default path, nothing is uploaded.
